Presentation for the Access Users Group of San Diego

Using Access Menus / Output Access reports to PDF file

Douglas Murphy, Murphy's Creativity

This presentation covered the use, control and customization of menus, tool bars and shortcut menus in Microsoft Access. The presentation does not cover the ribon bars used in Access 2007. The second half of the presentation reviews methods to output reports to pdf file format so they can be distributed electronicly.

The download file includes the Power Point presentation I used for the presentation, the demonstration Access database and it's support files. For the portion of the example that demonstrates the use of the Report to PDF routines developed by Stephan Lebans I have not included his DLL files. If you want to use this functionality download the ReportToPDF from the Lebans website. The two files you need to use the demonstration application are StrStorage.dll and dynapdf.dll. These are included in the download file. Read the documentation in the Lebans download.
